Recognizing the importance and value of networking, business educational workshops and peer-to-peer collaboration, the BACC has established a series of monthly programs and functions that give added value to our members. Below is a brief description of the current Chamber programs and benefits available.
Annual Gala and Awards Banquet
The Annual Gala and Awards Banquet, traditionally held in February, is the Chamber’s signature event of the year. This popular fundraiser offers sponsorship opportunities that include pre-event publicity, advertising in the event program and recognition on a continual-loop PowerPoint. Plus it’s a lot of fun with great entertainment and food! Additionally, businesses and individuals who have excelled or demonstrated above and beyond commitment to the Chamber or community over the past year are recognized during the evening’s program.
Business After Hours
The name says it all. Business After Hours events are usually held the fourth Thursday of the month. These well-attended networking mixers offer Chamber members the opportunity to meet, interact and socialize with other Chamber members. Door prizes and cash giveaways are an added bonus for attendees. To host and/or sponsor a Business After Hours, please contact the Chamber office.
Business Educational Workshop
The BACC has started a new series of workshops designed to provide members and local business owners a range of resources, training and professional development opportunities. The workshops focus on educating businesses/business owners, keeping our members informed and helping improve the profitability of area businesses.
Coffee and Connections
Coffee and Connections is for Chamber members who have trouble getting away in the middle of the day, whose schedules will not allow them to attend a Business After Hours and/or for members who prefer morning get-togethers. Coffee and Connections are held once a month from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at the Chamber Office. Check the BACC calendar, as days vary from month to month.
The BACC monthly luncheons are one of the most popular and well attended activities of the Chamber. Held on the second Wednesday of the month, the luncheons feature a catered meal by a Chamber member, a guest speaker, a chance to network with other community leaders, an opportunity to meet new members and an opportunity to learn about upcoming city events and issues. The luncheon is also where our newest BACC members are recognized and receive their new membership plaques.
New Member Orientation
New Member Orientation is scheduled as needed. These orientation meetings introduce new members to one another and give them an opportunity to meet the BACC staff, Board and Ambassadors. During the orientation, new members are briefed on all Chamber activities and programs and are given an opportunity to ask any questions they may have about the BACC.
